Due to continued growth an opportunity exists for an experienced Carpenter/Joiner to join our team.
n
About the role
n
The position requires a candidate with a desire for high quality workmanship and strong communication skills to ensure that projects run as smoothly as possible.
n
Ideally we're looking for an experienced carpenter, to work on commercial and residential building restoration projects of varying sizes. We are a small team with a flexible easy going environment which aims to both support our team while ensuring projects run smoothly to time and budget.

The right candidate will ideally possess the following:
n

Reliable and flexible
n
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
n
A proven ability to perform under pressure
n
Able to achieve targets whilst maintaining a high standard of quality
n
Have a thorough understanding of the administrative and construction side of getting a project completed
n
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Responsible for a safe site and safe work practices
n
Capable of meeting deadlines
n
Dealing with any issues in a professional manner, escalating as required
n
Required to follow building plans and specifications to meet the needs of clients
n
Install structures and fixtures such as windows
n
Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors and door frames
n
Be able to fix and repair sash windows
n
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
n
Be able to report and collaborate with the Team Leader throughout any project
n
Ensure all company assets are secure and used safely and competently
n
n
Qualifications and Experience
n
n
Must be a fully qualified carpenter
n
Have at least 5 years of carpentry experience
n
Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation
n
Heritage Restoration experience, highly desirable
n
Competently read and follow architectural plans
n
Be a skilled trades person with high quality workmanship
n
Must have your own hand tools and power tools
n
Possess a recognised Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
n
Hold a current First Aid Certificate
n
Must hold a valid white card
n
Must hold a drivers licence and have access to a vehicle
n
Must be able to apply for Working with Children Check WWCC
n
Must be able to obtain a National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes
n
Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test at anytime.
n
Must be able to manage onsite WHS requirements.
