About the role
n
We have an exciting new opportunity for you to start your career with us as a 1st year Fitting & Machining Apprentice (Engineering CertIII).
n
Centrally located at our facility in Islington, you will learn a range of precision engineering techniques including
n
n
engine rebuilding
n
machining, grinding, both manual & CNC
n
dynamic balancing
n
ferrous and non-ferrous welding and
n
metal arc spraying
n
n
About you
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Completed year 12 Higher School Certificate or year 10 School Certificate with valuable results in Mathematics, English as well as Design/Technology subjects.
n




A strong desire to learn, with an ability to follow instructions and a commitment to completing and passing all assessments.
n
A high level of attention to detail and aptitude for quality workmanship.
n
Effective interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport.
n
A high level of awareness and commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.
n
Self-motivated, positive and proactive attitude.

A strong work ethic, with a high level of honesty and integrity.

Good time management and organisational skills.

Applicants who have completed a pre-trade course and/or work experience within the metals and engineering field will be very highly regarded.
