Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a talented and driven Mid-Level Interior Designer to join their growing team in Melbourne.

Truly Design-Led: You will be responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating the creation and refurbishment of dynamic commercial spaces.

Working closely with senior leadership, estimators, and project managers, you will help manage project design across all phases, ensuring alignment with client expectations, spatial briefs, site buildability, and budgetary parameters.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Project Execution:



Support the full design lifecycle from initial concept through to construction documentation under senior guidance.
n
Documentation & Modelling: Utilise industry-standard design tools (Revit, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite) to develop spatial layouts, visuals, 3D renders, and technical construction packages.
n
Material & Supplier Sourcing: Research and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and fittings aligned with functional requirements and sustainability standards (e.g., Green Star, WELL, NABERS).

Site Management & Audits: Perform site measurements, spatial/furniture audits, and periodic site visits to monitor quality control and buildability alongside construction teams.
n
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in client presentations, briefing sessions, and documentation reviews, building strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal partners.
n
Budget & Timeline Alignment: Collaborate with estimating and project management teams to manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.

About You
n
n
Experience: 3-6 years of experience within commercial workplace design and build environments.
n
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in producing accurate technical documentation, detail drawings, and rendering using tools like Revit (essential).
n
Design Thinking: Demonstrated spatial awareness, conceptual design skills, and an understanding of modern workplace trends.
n
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant building codes, compliance standards, and construction methods.
n
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to present concepts, communicate across trades, and thrive in a collaborative studio culture.
