Kyogle Memorial Hospital is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a contract basis from now through 17 January 2027. Based in Kyogle, a rural town in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, this role offers the chance to provide clinical leadership across the Emergency Department, residential aged care facility, and medical practitioner services. You'll work in a close-knit healthcare setting where your experience and expertise make a real difference to the community.

- Lead clinical care across Emergency Department, RACF, and MPS services in a rural healthcare setting
- Contract position from ASAP through 17 January 2027
- Chance to practise triage, advanced life support, and nurse-in-charge responsibilities

Preferred Requirements





- Proven senior registered nurse experience with demonstrated clinical leadership
- Substantial Emergency Department experience, including triage assessment and management
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Experience working as Nurse in Charge or in a similar leadership capacity
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple service areas within a small rural hospital

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated expertise in Emergency Nursing
- Additional certifications in aged care or rural health practice are advantageous
