Rockhampton Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment where your clinical skills and emergency expertise will make a real difference. The role runs from now through to 1 November 2026, based in Rockhampton, Queensland.

- Work in a busy Emergency Department delivering high-quality patient care across triage, resuscitation, and acute presentations
- Contract position, ASAP start through to 1 November 2026
- Rockhampton, QLD - join an established hospital team with robust clinical support

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse at NRG 5 level with AHPRA




- Demonstrated emergency department experience with proven competence in triage assessment
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Hands-on experience with resuscitation protocols and IV cannulation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing clinical priorities

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or formal training in Emergency Nursing
- Additional certifications in trauma or emergency care (e.g. TNCC) are advantageous
