Who we're looking for?

We are seeking a Lawyer (1-3 Years' PQE) to join a well-established boutique law firm on a contract basis, based in North Strathfield, NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer with commercial litigation and/or commercial law experience to work on a diverse range of disputes and advisory matters. You'll gain hands-on exposure to complex litigation, insolvency, construction and contractual disputes, while working closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

About the Role:

Manage and progress a variety of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters from initial instructions through to resolution.

Draft a broad range of legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence, and legal advice.

Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice on disputes, risk management, and business-related issues.

Advise clients on contractual disputes, commercial arrangements, and transaction-related matters.

Conduct detailed legal research and analysis on complex commercial and litigation issues.





Work closely with counsel and other external advisors to develop effective litigation strategies.

Represent and support clients during negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution processes.

Maintain high standards of file management and ensure compliance with professional obligations.

Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the growth of the practice.

Collaborate with senior lawyers and support staff to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

About You:

Hold a current practising certificate.

1-3 years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and/or commercial law.

Strong drafting abilities, with the capacity to produce clear, concise, and persuasive written work.

Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing matters from start to finish.

Confidence engaging with clients, counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues.

Sound commercial judgment and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.

The ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience using Smokeball or other legal practice management software will be highly regarded.
