As the Director Natural Capital Fund Management, you will:

- Provide oversight and contribute to the development and implementation of a coordinated suite of environmental stewardship initiatives aligned with Government priorities.
- Applying superior, effective, strategic and agile management techniques to develop and oversee the detailed work program, successfully resource and operationalise the team, and unify multiple streams of work through to successful implementation.
- Manage team members and stakeholders to assist in the delivery of projects and outcomes for the Department and other Government agencies.
- Manage the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities with the private sector, at both pilot and commercial scale,



including delivering Land Restoration Fund Trust investments and managing existing commercial contracts.
- Manage the delivery of the Environmental Offsets Fund including overseeing strategic planning, landholder and partnership engagement and delivery of offsets in accordance with the Government's Environmental Offsets Framework.
- Assist with coordinating the Department's involvement in whole of government activities and responses relating to carbon and environmental market policy and initiatives.
- Apply strong financial management and administration principles to the delivery of Government programs including those that incorporate complex financial structures and funding arrangements.
- Oversee and prepare complex submissions, papers and correspondence for Cabinet, the Minister, the Director-General, and governance bodies.
- Engage in highly effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including government, industry, potential investors, project proponents, landholders, First Nations organisations.
- Support program governance in providing strategic direction, and identifying, documenting and managing risks, issues and opportunities.

For this role, you will bring proven leadership and high-level management skills, with the ability to lead significant investment programs and deliver complex initiatives from concept through to implementation. You will have demonstrated experience negotiating and establishing commercial arrangements and contracts with private sector and non-government partners, together with a strong understanding of Australian and/or international financial markets and environmental compliance markets. Experience in major commercial projects and environmental markets, including carbon markets, will be highly regarded.

You will possess highly developed conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to resolve complex and sensitive issues and communicate them effectively to a wide range of stakeholders. With a commitment to building and sustaining a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative team culture, you will demonstrate excellent relationship management, consultation and negotiation skills.
