The Project

Our client is a large and highly regarded Western Australian organisation responsible for managing and developing critical state infrastructure. They are seeking an experienced GIS professional to support, maintain and enhance their enterprise geospatial technology environment.

This opportunity offers flexibility, with engagement available as either a permanent position or contract role. The successful applicant can work full time or part time (minimum 3 days per week), making it ideal for experienced professionals seeking flexibility while contributing to a complex and business-critical GIS platform.

You will play a key role in the ongoing development, support and evolution of a modern enterprise GIS environment, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver innovative geospatial solutions.

Responsibilities

· Support, administer and maintain the organisation's ESRI ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS.

· Design, develop and enhance GIS applications, tools and integrations using the ArcGIS technology stack.

· Develop custom GIS solutions using ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcObjects, ArcPy, REST APIs and custom widgets.

· Build and maintain geospatial services including map services, feature services and geoprocessing services.

· Develop Python scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, data migration and batch processing activities.

· Integrate GIS solutions with enterprise applications and third party platforms.





· Provide technical leadership and guidance on GIS architecture, solution design and best practices.

· Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability and security issues across enterprise GIS environments.

· Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical and effective GIS solutions.

· Contribute to platform modernisation, continuous improvement initiatives and future GIS roadmap activities.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

· Extensive experience working with the ESRI ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS.

· Strong GIS development experience using ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcObjects, ArcPy, ArcGIS REST APIs and custom widgets.

· Solid understanding of geospatial data models, spatial analysis and enterprise GIS architecture.

· Experience developing solutions with ArcGIS Pro SDK and desktop automation/customisation.

· Strong Python scripting skills for GIS automation, data migration and process optimisation.

· Experience integrating GIS platforms with enterprise systems and external applications.

· Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases, including SQL Server and/or Oracle.

· Experience with modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and contemporary frontend frameworks.

· Exposure to cloud and enterprise hosting environments such as Microsoft Azure and IIS.

· Strong problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Highly Desirable:

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

· Experience developing .NET applications and integrations.

· Experience working within large,



complex enterprise environments.
