Diesel Motor Mechanic

Employment Responsibilities

- The Diesel Motor Mechanics are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of heavy diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
- This includes trucks, trailers, earthmoving machinery, and other industrial diesel equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on heavy vehicles and equipment
- Conduct engine overhauls, brake and clutch repairs, and suspension system work
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues efficiently
- Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and services completed
- Comply with workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Respond to breakdowns on-site or in the field (if applicable)
- Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and stored safely.





Skills, experience and qualifications

- Certificate III including at least two years of relevant experience, or Certificate IV. At least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
- Relevant experience may also be required.
- Registration or licensing may be required for this occupation.

Metal Fabricator

Employment type: Full Time

Employment Responsibilities

- The Metal Fabricators, Boilermakers, and Welders are responsible for fabricating and repairing structural steel and metal components by marking out and preparing metal stock.
- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
- Support continuous improvement and quality outcomes

Skills, experience and qualifications

- Certificate III including at least two years of relevant experience, or Certificate IV. At least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
- Relevant experience may also be required.

Welder (First Class) / Welder

Employment type: Full Time

Employment Responsibilities

- The Metal Fabricators, Boilermakers,



and Welders are responsible for fabricating and repairing structural steel and metal components by marking out and preparing metal stock.
- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
- Follow all workplace health and safety and isolation procedures

Skills, experience and qualifications

- Certificate III including at least two years of relevant experience, or Certificate IV. At least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
- Relevant experience may also be required.

Fitter

Employment type: Full Time

Employment Responsibilities

- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently

Skills, experience and qualifications

- Certificate III including at least two years of relevant experience, or Certificate IV. At least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
- Relevant experience may also be required.
