Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. This is a hands-on role for a chef who enjoys working with great produce, cooking with precision and leading a team through a busy service.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the kitchen team during service and ensuring consistently high standards
- Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Maintaining quality, consistency and presentation across the menu
- Contributing to menu development and the evolution of the restaurant
- Managing preparation, ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation
- Training and developing junior members of the team
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
- Monitoring food quality, waste and kitchen costs
- Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently in a high-volume service environment
About you
- Previous Junior Sous Chef experience in a quality-driven restaurant, or strong experience as a Senior CDP ready for the next step
- A strong understanding of modern restaurant cooking and high-volume service
- Excellent technical and organisational skills
- The ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on
- A genuine interest in Greek and Mediterranean flavours, produce and cooking techniques
- Strong communication skills and a calm approach under pressure
- High standards and an eye for detail
- A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the wider team
