About the Role

As a Senior Civil Drafter, you will lead the delivery of engineering documentation, ensuring the accurate and efficient production of high-quality civil engineering drawings. You will leverage your extensive experience managing complex drafting projects to enforce standards specific to civil works and provide technical mentorship to junior civil drafters.

​This role requires an understanding of general civil engineering principles, particularly in relation to drawings, advanced CAD proficiency and a commitment to quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- ​Oversee and coordinate the production of civil engineering drawings, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets and quality standards.

- ​Conduct reviews of civil drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with relevant authority standards.

- ​Facilitate effective coordination with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and other civil disciplines to ensure seamless integration of design information.

- ​Maintain drawing revision control system for civil projects, ensuring accurate tracking and distribution of revised documents.

- ​Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and training to junior civil drafters, fostering their professional development and enhancing their civil drafting skills.

- ​Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the civil drafting team and with other project stakeholders.

- ​Serve as a technical resource, resolving complex civil drafting issues and providing expert advice related to civil engineering projects.

- ​Participate in discussions on work system improvements, including leveraging technology for information sharing, management, and quality control.

- ​Actively engage in reviewing work standards and monitoring processes,



initiating recommendations for improvement.

- ​Assists clients to identify sustainable options and implications.

About You

- ​Extensive experience in civil drafting, with a proven track record of delivering complex civil projects.

- ​Expert proficiency in AutoCAD related to civil engineering.

- ​Robust understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods and industry standards specific to civil projects.

- ​Strong problem-solving, analytical and orgnaisation skills.

- ​Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

- ​Advanced Diploma in Drafting, CAD Technology or a related field, with a focus on civil drafting.
