About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Freight Handler / Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced warehousing operation based in Gillman, SA.

This dual-function role combines hands-on freight handling with precision forklift driving. You will play a vital role in ensuring goods are safely received, maneuvered across the facility, staged, and loaded for transport in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Safe operation of counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, and move palletised freight across the depot.
- Efficient handling of reach trucks for high-level stacking and retrieval (where required).
- Manual handling and sorting of freight, ensuring strict adherence to secure lifting practices.
- Verification of shipping documentation, consignment notes, and inventory counts.
- Staging outgoing shipments accurately to meet strict transport schedules.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment in line with WHS guidelines.

What We Are Looking For
- Forklift Licence (LF):



Current and valid High Risk Work License.
- Reach Truck Experience: Highly desirable and advantageous for high-density storage handling.
- Freight Handling Background: Proven experience in a transport, logistics, or fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual handling tasks alongside machine operations.
- Safety Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety protocols.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and possess reliable personal transport to Gillman.
