About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist that is hands-on, end-to-end, and close to the questions that matter most. Your models and analysis feed straight into real decisions across the club. You'll provide the key data that assists our football department in recruiting, managing and retaining key talent and guide how we attract more fantastic members. The decisions stay with the people who own them, your job is to make sure they're made on the best data and insight the club has ever had.

You'll help grow our data-science and AI capability,



expanding the use cases, models and data projects that already underway, with the opportunity to shape what comes next.

What You?ll Do

- Develop solutions using Data Science methods which contribute to solving football-related questions across all of our teams: Men?s, Women?s and Academy.
- Develop predictive models using football performance, recruitment, membership, and commercial data to support decision-making across the Club.
- Collaborate with football experts to identify high-impact performance questions translate them into a transparent analytical framework and to communicate insights to enable data-informed decision making from football operations and business strategy.
- Build accessible dashboards, reports, and tools for coaches, analysts, and commercial teams.
- Own and maintain data pipelines in Snowflake, ensuring our data is accurate, governed, and AI-ready.
- Lead the expansion of AI capability across the Club, from productivity tools to embedded workflows.
- Own the foundations. Pipe new data into Snowflake, keep the transformations (SQL / dbt) humming, and make our data genuinely AI-ready and trustworthy.

- Genuine hands-on technical skill, and the drive to build with AI,



LLMs and agents (or a serious itch to start);
- The confidence and resilience to own work end-to-end, from messy problem to tool people rely on;
- Curiosity, initiative, and the appetite to help grow something meaningful;
- A positive and highly collaborative attitude to your work.

The Essentials

- A degree in a quantitative field: Data Science, Stats, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
- Eligibility to work in Australia and a current Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one).
- A love of the footy, sports-data experience, or a background in consumer analytics are all nice bonuses, but the mindset matters more than the checklist.
