About the Opportunity
This role will support our Psychiatry courses through provision of psychiatric academic and clinical expertise in the development, delivery and ongoing improvement of the HETI Psychiatry courses and other relevant units of study

Selection Criteria

1. A medical qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with demonstrated practical experience as a specialist or consultant,



as well as specialist qualification relevant to the specialisation such as Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent.

2. Evidence of being a mental health expert with current specialised professional development and relevant ongoing practice experience including implementation of the principles of consumer focused and recovery- oriented treatment.

3. Evidence of educational leadership experience and the provision of mental health education and its applications within relevant contexts in NSW. This may include experience and skills in the delivery, evaluation and strategic leadership of specialist mental health training or education; commitment to continuing medical education and professional development; being a mentor to junior colleagues, educating other health professionals and undergraduate or postgraduate students; experience in the preparation, evaluation and critical review of literature, research publications and reports.

4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team across multiple sites.

1. Describe your experience in mental health educational leadership and professional development which would enable you to deliver contemporary, recovery oriented training of psychiatry trainees in in NSW.
2. Describe two current issues, policies, or frameworks in the field of psychiatry and/or mental health with the potential to have major implications for psychiatry trainees education course development, design, delivery and/or evaluation. Provide an analysis of the potential impacts.
