Morson Edge is currently recruiting experienced Steel Fixers for ongoing work with an established industrial, civil and commercial concreting contractor delivering projects across the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.
We're looking for reliable Steel Fixers to join an experienced team working across a range of commercial, civil and industrial concrete projects around the North Gold Coast, including Runaway Bay and surrounding suburbs.
The Role You'll be working alongside experienced concreters and formworkers, completing reinforcement and steel fixing works across a variety of concrete construction projects.
Your duties will include:
- Installing and tying reinforcing steel and mesh
- Reading and interpreting structural drawings and plans
- Setting out reinforcement ready for concrete pours
- Cutting, bending and tying reinforcement as required
- Working alongside formworkers and concreters
- Ensuring reinforcement is installed correctly and to project specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Following site safety requirements and procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
- Experience across civil, commercial or industrial concrete projects
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Construction White Card
- Own tools and PPE
- Reliable transport
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work effectively within a team
