About the role

As a result of a departmental re-structure, and a commitment to continued digital growth, our client is investing in a strengthened Ecommerce function. The Ecommerce Technology & Performance Manager will lead their ecommerce ecosystem. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will translate digital capability into measurable commercial outcomes and competitive advantage. This newly created leadership role will own the ecommerce platforms, digital performance and customer experience. Leading a small team, this is a hands-on leadership/management role that requires both strategic oversight and active involvement. The position works closely with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Retail, Business Systems and external vendors and technology partners to translate commercial priorities into reliable, measurable and scalable growth solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Own ecommerce platforms, reliability and the technology roadmap.

- Lead website enhancements, integrations and technical testing.

- Drive conversion, customer experience and digital performance.

- Oversee ecommerce operations, data quality and customer service.

- Lead the ecommerce team and coordinate cross-functional delivery.

About you

- Minimum 5 years' experience managing an Ecommerce team.

- Experience with Shopify or a comparable enterprise ecommerce platform.

- Experience with Klaviyo or comparable CRM and marketing automation platform.

- Working knowledge of website development, frontend technologies, platform configuration, APIs, and systems integrations.

- Ability to undertake direct programming, scripting,



troubleshooting and technical testing.

- Knowledge of online product listing workflows, stock control, customer service processes and fulfillment operations.

- Strong understanding of conversion rate optimisation, ecommerce growth levers and online customer behaviour.

- Working knowledge of technical and on-page SEO best practice.

- Experience with analytics, tag management, tracking frameworks and data interpretation.

- Understanding of data governance, data quality, privacy and access controls.

- Experience leading, coaching and developing team members.

- Robust stakeholder, vendor, project and priority-management skills.

- Desirable: Experience in apparel, retail, manufacturing, teamwear or a multi-site ecommerce environment.

- Desirable: Experience preparing business cases and implementing new ecommerce technology.

- Desirable: Formal qualification in ecommerce, digital, information technology, marketing, business or a related field.
