Rockhampton Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to join its Maternity team on a contract basis, commencing as soon as possible through to 11 October 2026. Based in Rockhampton, Queensland, this role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive midwifery care across the full spectrum of maternity services, from antenatal through to postnatal care and the birth suite. You'll be part of a dedicated team supporting women and families through one of life's most significant moments.

- Contract position from ASAP to 11 October 2026, based in Rockhampton, QLD

Preferred Requirements





- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) at NRG 5 level
- Demonstrated experience in maternity care, including antenatal and postnatal practice
- Competence and confidence in the birth suite workplace
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (ANRP) certification or equivalent
