Walgett District Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team on a 14-week contract. Based in rural NSW, this role offers the chance to deliver acute care in a close-knit healthcare setting where your clinical skills and emergency expertise will make a real difference. The contract runs from 28 September 2026 through to 3 January 2027, providing a defined period to contribute to the hospital's emergency services.

Preferred Requirements





- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Demonstrated emergency department experience and clinical competence in acute care
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Experience working in charge or leading clinical teams
- Ability to work effectively in a rural healthcare setting with varied patient presentations

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated expertise in emergency nursing
- Additional certifications in trauma or critical care nursing
