Alcyone Group is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Public Area & Housekeeping Attendant to join our team across our Maroochydore properties, including Market Lane Residences and The Corso.

This is a stable, ongoing part-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 22 hours per week, plus additional rostered hours available for short-stay apartment cleaning and residential bond cleans.

The role is suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high presentation standards and enjoys a varied position across premium residential buildings and short-stay accommodation.

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene throughout common areas and facilities, while also assisting with the preparation of short-stay apartments and end-of-tenancy bond cleans.

Your duties will include:

- Cleaning and maintaining lobbies, hallways, lifts, amenities, stairwells, pool areas, gym facilities and car parks.

- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing and maintaining high-touch surfaces, glass and common-area presentation.

- Emptying designated waste bins onto the waste table and pushing the waste into the building’s waste chute as part of routine cleaning duties.

- Preparing short-stay apartments to hotel-quality standards for arriving guests.

- Making beds, replacing linen, restocking guest amenities and thoroughly cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas.

- Completing residential bond cleans to end-of-tenancy inspection standards.

- Cleaning cupboards, wardrobes, ovens, rangehoods, windows, tracks, balconies and other areas as required during bond cleans.

- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, damage, hazards or presentation concerns.

- Responding to urgent or ad-hoc cleaning requirements when required.

- Restocking consumables and maintaining cleaning supplies.





- Completing cleaning checklists and reporting outstanding items to management.

The role combines public-area cleaning, short-stay housekeeping and bond cleaning, with additional housekeeping and bond-cleaning hours rostered according to operational requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and well presented.

- Highly attentive to detail and proud of the quality of their work.

- Able to work autonomously and follow established cleaning schedules and instructions.

- Organised and able to manage their time effectively.

- Friendly and professional when interacting with residents, guests, visitors and contractors.

- Physically capable of performing manual cleaning duties.

- Comfortable working across common areas, residential apartments and short-stay accommodation.

- Committed to workplace safety, safe manual handling and appropriate chemical use.

- Flexible to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts as rostered.

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience within residential buildings, hotels or commercial environments is preferred. Experience in bond cleaning or end-of-tenancy cleaning would also be advantageous.
