Trade Assistant - Within a Food Production Warehouse

Monday to Friday | 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Every second Saturday | 10:00am – 2:00pm

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a mechanical background?

We’re looking for a practical and reliable Trade Assistant to join our clients team in Arndell Park. You don’t need previous food industry experience — we’re more interested in your mechanical skills, attitude and ability to troubleshoot and get things working.

This could be a great opportunity for someone looking to take their mechanical experience in a new direction.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for a range of hands-on maintenance and general handyman tasks, helping keep equipment, machinery and the site running smoothly.

Your day may include:

- Troubleshooting equipment and mechanical issues

- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs

- Using hand and power tools

- Identifying problems and finding practical solutions

- Assisting with machinery and equipment maintenance

- Completing preventative maintenance tasks

- General handyman duties around the site

- Working safely and keeping the work area organised

What We're Looking For

We’re interested in people with a mechanical or technical background, including:

- Car,



diesel or motorcycle mechanics looking for a current challenge

- Machine operators or technicians wanting to move into maintenance

- Tradespeople with strong mechanical skills

- Hands-on handymen who enjoy fixing and building things

- Someone who naturally enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems

You’ll need to be:

- Confident using hand and power tools

- Practical and mechanically minded

- Reliable and punctual

- Comfortable working independently

- Comfortable working in Chilled Environments

- Comfortable working around Pork Products

- A good problem solver

- Keen to learn and take on new skills

- Safety conscious with a strong work ethic
