Regional South Australia | 5:2 Roster | Long-Term Contract

An exciting prospect is available for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a major renewable energy construction project in regional South Australia. This is a long-term, site-based contract commencing in late 2026 and continuing through electrical construction, energisation and commissioning.

The Role Working as part of the Owner’s team, you will provide site-based electrical surveillance and assurance across high-voltage infrastructure, substations, transmission connections, turbine electrical installation and balance-of-plant works.

You will maintain a strong field presence, monitoring contractor performance across safety, quality, programme and technical compliance. This is an oversight and assurance role rather than direct supervision of the contractor workforce.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor electrical construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Inspect works against approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and Australian Standards.
- Provide oversight of HV/MV systems, underground cabling, earthing, substations, switchyards, SCADA, protection and control systems.
- Witness hold points and testing activities and identify defects or non-conformances.
- Review work packs, method statements, test plans, RFIs, technical queries and commissioning documentation.
- Maintain accurate inspection, punch-list, close-out and handover records.
- Monitor contractor progress and identify emerging constraints and interface risks.
- Coordinate interfaces across electrical, transmission, commissioning and operations workstreams.
- Support safe systems of work, including permits, isolations,



access controls and energisation activities.
- Provide clear daily and weekly reporting and escalate safety, quality, technical or programme issues.
- Support mechanical completion, commissioning readiness, performance testing and handover.

About You You will ideally bring:

- An electrical trade qualification, engineering diploma, degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Approximately 8 to 10+ years of site-based electrical construction, supervision, inspection, commissioning or assurance experience.
- Strong experience across high-voltage infrastructure, substations, transmission, generation or utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Wind farm experience is strongly preferred, although relevant mining, utilities, BESS or power generation experience will also be considered.
- Practical knowledge of HV/MV systems, earthing, underground reticulation, protection and control, SCADA, testing and energisation.
- Experience working in an Owner’s team, EPCM, superintendent, Owner’s Engineer or independent assurance environment.
- Strong knowledge of permit-to-work, isolation and LOTO requirements.
- Proven ability to review technical drawings, ITPs, work packs, test results, quality records and as-built documentation.
- Strong written reporting, communication and contractor management skills.
- Current Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence.
