Jamberoo Pool operates throughout the warmer months from late November to late March and we’re seeking enthusiastic Lifeguard Attendants to join our seasonal team.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is proactive, safety-focused and passionate about creating a positive experience for the Jamberoo community and visitors.

Key responsibilities as Jamberoo Pool Lifeguard Attendant…
As a Lifeguard/Attendant you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all patrons while maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-presented facility. This position is responsible for upholding high standards of pool operations, including water quality monitoring and plant room maintenance, coordinating the timely setup of equipment for pool programs and user groups, and delivering excellent customer service. Through a proactive approach to safety, maintenance, and facility presentation, you’ll help foster a friendly, healthy, and enjoyable environment.

What you'll bring to the role…
This role requires a team-oriented individual with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building positive relationships with both customers and colleagues. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service,



solid time management and organisational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of performance.

In addition to this you’ll bring:

- An Aquatic Technical Operator (Pool Operations) – SISSS00131 (or equivalent)
- Pool Lifeguard Licence or Current Pool Lifeguard Award
- First Aid Certificate
- A minimum twelve months experience in operation of public swimming pools working as a Pool Lifeguard, or in the aquatic industry
- Knowledge of pool testing and correctional procedures, including safe handling and storage of chemicals
- Previous experience with routine plant room maintenance
- The ability to process payments using EFTPOS
- Knowledge of the NSW Guidelines for Public Swimming Pools and Spa Pools
- Knowledge of WH&S; as it relates to a Public Swimming Pool
- A current NSW Employee Working with Children Check.

Pre-Employment Checks
This is a child-related position. You will be required to provide Council with your valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number as a condition of your employment. In addition, your employment will be subject to a National criminal record check and Pre-employment medical to determine your suitability for employment.
