Mt Boothby Pastoral is seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Stockman to join our team at Tintinara.
This is an excellent chance for someone with a genuine interest in livestock and practical farm work, who enjoys working as part of a team and is looking for a long-term position within a progressive farming operation.
The Role
The successful applicant will be involved in the day-to-day care and management of livestock, along with general farm duties as required.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Livestock handling, feeding and husbandry
- Monitoring livestock health and welfare
- Yard work, drafting and general stock handling
- Pasture and paddock management
- Maintaining livestock facilities, yards and equipment
- General farm maintenance and machinery operation
- Assisting with seasonal farm activities as required
- Maintaining a high standard of animal welfare and workplace safety
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in livestock handling and general stock work
- Reliable, hardworking and safety conscious
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- A good communicator with a positive attitude
- Physically fit and prepared for the practical demands of farm work
- Able to follow instructions and take initiative when required
- Experienced with farm machinery and a current driver's licence (preferred)
Previous experience in a stockman or livestock position is highly regarded, but we are also open to applicants with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
