Clarity Partners is looking for a Finance Controller to join the Australian operations of a global engineering and technology services organisation supporting customers across the energy, mining, utilities, aerospace and other industrial sectors.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller – Asia Pacific, this role will play a key part in overseeing the financial operations of the Australian business. You will take ownership of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and internal controls, while partnering with management to support informed business decisions and ongoing improvement.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and provide financial analysis to management.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external and group auditors.
- Take ownership of the balance sheet, including regular review, reconciliation and risk assessment.
- Lead, manage and develop the Australian Finance team, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Support annual budgeting, long-term financial planning and regular forecasting.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide clear variance analysis.
- Manage working capital and cash flow, including reporting and forecasting.
- Review and improve financial processes to support efficiency, accuracy and strong financial governance.




- Ensure compliance with group policies, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to link financial results with operational performance.

About You

- Qualified accountant, or qualified by experience, with 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills, with the ability to connect financial results to business performance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros.
- Experience with ERP and Business Intelligence systems; Power BI and D365 experience will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organisation.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with experience supporting and developing a finance team.
- Proactive, adaptable and commercially minded, with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
