How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:

- Lead and coordinate the Material Preparation team, providing day-to-day direction and ensuring activities are completed safely, in accordance with all WH&S; policies and procedures, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Lead the Additive Manufacturing and Waterjet Cutting workcentres, working closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Production Planning to meet product, process and production schedule requirements.
- Monitor workload planning, resources, consumables, services and team requirements to ensure the department is adequately supported and operates efficiently.
- Monitor production progress and communicate part status, risks, variations and issues to relevant leaders and stakeholders.
- Support in the resolution of technical and production issues,



working collaboratively with team members and engineers to develop and document effective manufacturing solutions.
- Ensure work is performed accurately and to a high standard in accordance with engineering drawings, CAD models, build files, DXF files, procedures, specifications and instructions.
- Oversee machine setup, operation, post-processing, material tracking and the movement of new and in-process components through multi-step manufacturing workflows.
- Ensure quality control requirements, material traceability and inventory records are maintained accurately and consistently.
- Ensure permitted preventative maintenance is completed safely, professionally and within required timeframes, and support the troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure the department maintains a clean, organised and appropriately maintained work environment, with hazardous materials handled and disposed of in accordance with approved requirements.
- Support the safe handling, movement, fabrication, repair and assembly of hardware, equipment and fragile components, including the use of appropriate mechanical handling equipment and precision inspection equipment.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and relevant stakeholders to support recruitment, training and development of the Material Preparation team.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, reliability and efficiency across the department and wider site.
- Maintain effective communication and positive working relationships across the team and with relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with daily operational requirements.




- Work outside normal hours when reasonably required to support critical build phases and production requirements
- Other duties as required by Management

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, commercial aircraft or comparable environment.
- Basic knowledge and practical understanding of Additive Manufacturing principles and processes.
- Basic knowledge and practical understanding of Waterjet operation, Heat Treatment functions and operations, and a basic understanding of DXF files.
- Experience in inventory control and material management.
- Medium level computer literacy.
- Medium to strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes.
- Experience using hand tools, mechanical equipment and precision measurement equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate and support a manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment.
- NV1 Security Clearance eligibility preferred.

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Experience in aircraft/aerospace assembly desirable.
- Current forklift licence desirable.
- Exceptional time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to rapidly adapt to changing priorities and schedules while working in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
