JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub

We are seeking Casual Youth Program Assistants to support the delivery of youth programs and activities for young people aged 12-17 years at the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub.

This role is ideal for people who enjoy building positive relationships with young people and want to make a meaningful difference in their community. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, community mentor, or someone who simply enjoys supporting & encouraging young people, we'd love to hear from you.

We welcome applicants with a range of experience levels, including those who may be current to youth work but bring strong community values and a genuine interest in supporting young people to thrive.

About the Role

As a Casual Youth Program Assistant, you will:





- Support the delivery of engaging youth programs and activities that promote social connection, wellbeing, and participation
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and culturally respectful environment for young people and families
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Hub, including set-up, pack-down, and maintaining shared spaces
- Work collaboratively with leadership, community members, and families to bring the space to life

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Enjoys working with young people and builds positive, respectful relationships
- Creates inclusive spaces where young people feel seen, safe, and supported
- Respects cultural diversity and understands the importance of community connection
- Demonstrates maturity, reliability, and the ability to act as a positive role model and mentor for young people

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
- Working with Children Check (or willing to apply)
