Warakirri College is an Independent Special Assistance School supporting students completing Year 10 and the HSC. We provide a flexible, supportive and trauma-informed learning environment where young people can build confidence, overcome challenges and work towards their education, career and life goals.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate School Counsellor to join our Distance Education Team and provide individual and group counselling, wellbeing interventions and coordinated support for students and families.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide counselling and wellbeing support to students (online, via phone and occasional home visits)

- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans.

- Facilitate wellbeing programs, workshops and mediations.

- Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies.

- Support students with disability adjustments and Special Provisions applications.

- Maintain accurate wellbeing records and case notes.

- Respond to student wellbeing concerns and critical incidents.

About You

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline.

- Experience providing counselling or wellbeing support to young people.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.





- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
