The Payroll Officer is responsible for the end-to-end administration of payroll and related systems supporting our Brisbane employees. You will help ensure payroll, employee entitlements and records are processed accurately, on time and in line with Enterprise Agreements, employment contracts, organisational policies and relevant legislation.

This is a diverse role combining fortnightly payroll processing, payroll and HR systems administration, reconciliations, statutory reporting, stakeholder support and continuous improvement. You will also be a key source of payroll advice for employees, managers and internal stakeholders, handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

What will you do?

- Deliver accurate and timely end-to-end fortnightly payroll for Brisbane employees, including payments, deductions, entitlements and employee record changes.
- Administer and maintain Access Micropay, ConnX HRIS and employee health insurance benefits, ensuring records, workflows, access and integrations remain accurate and effective.
- Complete payroll reconciliations, statutory returns and reporting, providing reliable data and analysis for operational, compliance and remuneration requirements.
- Provide trusted payroll advice to employees, managers and internal stakeholders while improving procedures, controls and workflows to strengthen accuracy, efficiency and compliance.

What do you need?





- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Payroll Officer or similar role, with demonstrated capability in end-to-end payroll processing, reconciliations and employee payroll support.
- Hands-on experience using Access Micropay and ConnX HRIS to process payroll, maintain accurate employee records and administer payroll workflows.
- Sound knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements, including Enterprise Agreements, Awards, PAYG withholding, payroll tax and superannuation.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to manage payroll priorities accurately and independently in a part-time role.
