Are you ready to lead one of Brisbane’s most ambitious sheet metal manufacturing operations?

Arlo Express Sheetmetals has made a significant investment in its Acacia Ridge factory, plant and production systems. Manufacturing has ramped up quickly, the team is growing, and we have tier one projects on the books. We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager who knows the industry, leads with confidence and can bring structure and consistency to a busy factory.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can plan production, develop people and make sure quality work gets to site when it’s needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Lead the day-to-day manufacturing of sheet metal HVAC components, working closely with team leaders to keep production safe, organised and on schedule.
- Plan labour, materials and factory capacity around customer orders and project programmes.
- Work with customers, project managers, sales and estimating teams to understand what’s needed and resolve issues early.
- Set explicit expectations for quality, productivity and delivery, and follow jobs through to completion.
- Coach team leaders, apprentices and factory staff, building capability as the operation grows.
- Improve workflows, manufacturing methods and the use of production systems, including drawing and CAM processes, CNC operations and Empower.
- Monitor labour hours and production costs, identifying practical ways to improve efficiency.




- Champion health and safety and ensure work meets specifications and applicable standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You’ll have substantial leadership experience in sheet metal, HVAC ductwork or a closely related manufacturing environment. You understand the demands of project-based production and can turn changing requirements into a clear plan for the factory floor.

We’re looking for someone who can earn the respect of experienced tradespeople, support emerging leaders and make sound decisions when things get busy. You’ll be comfortable working with customers and project teams, confident with production systems, and focused on getting the details right without losing sight of delivery.
