We are growing and are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Sydney!

About the Role

This role requires an experienced BA who can independently own complex system changes end-to-end and who can work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver build-ready requirements as our tech grows.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Operating in strict accordance with Automic’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards.

- Leading end-to-end business analysis activities across new features, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.

- Collaborating with senior management, IT, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements.

- Facilitating and driving requirements workshops, solution design sessions, and stakeholder discussions.

- Working closely with developers and UX designers to refine and clarify requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.





- Translating high-value business priorities into clearly defined Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).

- Supporting testing and validation activities to ensure delivered solutions meet business intent.

- Identifying risks, dependencies, and impacts across systems and processes.

- Continuously improving analysis practices, documentation standards, and tools to enhance productivity, quality, and security.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:

- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related discipline.

- At least 8+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise software environments working within an Agile delivery framework

- Demonstrated experience delivering across full software development life cycles.

- Proven hands-on technical capability from functional requirements gathering to user stories & high-quality acceptance criteria & mapping multisystem impact analysis

- Able to work independently owning delivery outcomes, escalating risk when required

- Proven experience of leading structured workshops with key stakeholders able to manage up effectively to get the right outcomes

- A systems level thinker, understanding cross system impacts

- Experience within financial services is highly desirable, particularly within share/unit registry, managed funds, fund admin, wealth/ market infrastructure or investor lifecycle platforms
