About the role

- Rotating roster Monday to Sunday, including occasional overnight shifts, with flexibility to support operational requirements.
- Accurately manage and process medical request forms to ensure smooth workflow, timely turnaround times, and high-quality patient care.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to client telephone enquiries professionally and acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders.
- Perform specimen reception and preparation activities, including labelling, centrifugation, aliquoting, and storage, ensuring specimens are processed accurately and ready for analysis.
- Operate pre-analytical processing equipment and assist with laboratory housekeeping, maintenance, and courier duties, including the transport of blood products and collection of specimens across the hospital.

About you

- Proven qualifications and/or practical experience in pathology or a related field, providing a strong foundation of technical knowledge and skills.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to a busy work setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus and professional telephone manner.




- High-level data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks, work independently, and adapt to multitasking and cross-training across various areas within Customer Service and Reception (CSR).
