We have multiple Sorter opportunities available at our Rooty Hill MRF and are hosting a Frontline Recruitment Day to meet candidates interested in joining the team. We’re especially keen to hear from people who take pride in their work, show initiative, and are ready to grow into bigger responsibilities over time.

This role could suit someone who has worked in fast-paced environments such as warehousing, production, logistics, hospitality, retail operations, processing, manufacturing, stores, or recycling and wants to step into an industry with real progression.

About the role

As a Sorter, you will play an important part in the safe and efficient processing of materials on site. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is dependable, switched on, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Flexible morning and night fill shifts, with most shifts running for 3-4 hours. This casual role is a excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door, with reliable team members having the potential to increase to up to 5 shifts per week. Perfect for someone looking for flexibility, extra income, and the chance to grow their hours over time.

In this role, you will:





- Safely sort and separate recyclable materials on a fast-moving conveyor belt.
- Remove contaminants by hand while wearing the required PPE, including gloves, a face mask, safety glasses and hearing protection.
- Work at heights from an elevated platform.
- Remain on your feet for most of the shift, with scheduled meal and fatigue breaks.
- Regularly bend, reach and lean over the conveyor belt to remove unwanted items.
- Collaborate with your team to ensure the plant and processing line operate efficiently.
- Follow all site safety procedures and operational instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Identify and report hazards, risks and operational issues as they arise.
- Assist with general site and housekeeping duties as required.
