Help Deliver Christmas Across Victoria

Christmas Display Solutions is one of Australia's leading providers of commercial Christmas displays, decorations, festive installations, and seasonal experiences.

We partner with shopping centres, councils, commercial property groups, hotels, corporate clients, and public spaces to create memorable festive experiences that engage visitors and transform environments.

As we ramp up for the season, we are seeking licensed EWP and Boom Lift Operators to help install and dismantle large-scale Christmas displays at height, throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, beginning late October.

This role is all about working safely and confidently at height, getting displays exactly where they need to be, and keeping the ground crew moving. You'll also be expected to pitch in wherever the job needs you – from decorating and handling stock to general manual work around site.

About the Role

You’ll operate EWPs and boom lifts to position, install, and later dismantle Christmas trees, lighting, and elevated display elements on site, working closely with the install crew below.

Shifts run during the day or overnight, with shifts of up to 10 hours common. You’ll either meet the team at our warehouse to travel to site together, or make your own way to each job.





You’ll be needed late October until early December and again in late December through to mid-January to safely dismantle and pack down elevated displays.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

- Operate EWPs and boom lifts safely to install and dismantle elevated displays.
- Complete pre-start checks and report any equipment faults.
- Operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and site logistics where required (bonus skill).
- Position equipment carefully around public spaces, traffic, and pedestrians.

Installation & Dismantle at Height

- Install trees, lighting, and display elements at height to a high standard of finish.
- Work closely with the ground crew to place and secure elevated decorations.
- Carefully dismantle elevated displays from late December through to mid-January.
- Handle decorations and equipment carefully to avoid damage.
- Assist with decorating and dressing displays alongside the ground crew.
- Load and unload stock and equipment at the warehouse and on site.
- Undertake heavy manual handling as part of the role.
- Support the wider team wherever the job needs an extra pair of hands.

Site Safety & Compliance

- Follow all site safety requirements and company policies at all times.
- Maintain current licences and required certifications.




- Communicate clearly with your team leader and ground crew.
- Adapt to changing site conditions and resolve issues calmly.

About You

- Current Boom Lift Licence / experience operating boom lifts.
- Comfortable and confident working at heights.
- Close attention to detail.
- Strong safety awareness and a safety-first mindset.
- Genuine pride in the quality and finish of your work.
- Comfortable with heavy manual handling - the role is physically demanding.
- Positive communication skills and a helpful team player.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Calm under pressure, flexible and adaptable on site.
- Physical stamina and strength.

Highly Desirable

- Current Forklift Licence - a bonus, not essential.
- Working at Heights certification.
- Previous experience installing events, displays, or visual merchandising.
- Availability across both the October-December install period and the January dismantle.
- Working with Children Check or ability to gain the accreditation .
