The Role

Are you passionate about food, education, and creating a dynamic learning environment? An exciting opportunitywaitsfor aCasual Café Assistants to be part of ourstudent-led caféat theCaulfield Campus — during school terms only.

This unique role blends hospitality with hands-on learning, supporting students as they gain real-world experience in our Café Program. As a Café Assistant,you'llplay a key role inmanaging food orders and stock control, receivingdeliveriesandmaintainingkitchen safety and cleanliness.

You’llbe rostered acrossweekdays (Monday to Friday), with flexibility based on the Café Program scheduleduring term time only.

Key Duties

- Supporting students withcurriculum-basedLearning Outcomes for the Cafe Program
- Collaborating with the Café Manager to guide and evaluate student performance
- Prepare food trays/trolleys for practical classes asneeded




- Collaborate with Café Manager for food orders andprocureadditionalgoods asnecessary
- Ensure proper storage of fruit, vegetables, and colditems
- Participate instock-takesand attend meetings
- Offergeneral supportduringspecial events, such as School Open Days
- Purchase of goods not included in bulk orders asrequired
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.

Skills and Experience

- Experience with Practical Food Hygiene
- Previousexposure to Food preparation
- The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within ateam
- Any relevant Food or Hospitality qualifications would bedesirable
- First Aid Certificatewould beadvantageous
- Employment Working with Children’s Check
