What you'll do

- Provide personal care with dignity and privacy, including showering, dressing, grooming and continence support.
- Help with daily living at home: meal preparation, light household tasks, medication prompts and routines that suit each person.
- Support community access around Warragul and Drouin,



from appointments to outings and the activities each person enjoys.
- Use your skills and training to deliver safe, high-quality care that follows each support plan, including any health care needs.
- Build confidence, skills and independence step by step, guided by each person’s NDIS goals.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the people you support, their families and our coordinators, and keep accurate progress notes after every shift.
- Notice changes in health, mood or wellbeing, and report them, and any incidents, promptly.

What you'll bring

- Excellent communication: you speak and write English clearly, confidently and eloquently.
- Highly skilled in personal care, with experience in disability, community or health care support, or a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one before you start.
- A current Working with Children Check, plus First Aid and CPR certificates.
- A full Australian driver’s licence and a reliable, insured car for travel between Warragul, Drouin and nearby towns.
- Warmth, patience and genuine respect for the privacy, choices and culture of the people you support.
- A nursing background, such as Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse experience or nursing studies. This is an added advantage.
- You live in or near Warragul, Drouin or elsewhere in West Gippsland.
- Manual handling, hoist transfer, medication administration or Mealtime Management training.
- Experience supporting people with complex needs.
- A second language.
