Johnson Bros Mitre 10 continues to grow from strength to strength and was recently awarded the National Timber and Hardware’s Association’s large format store of the year. As we continue to strengthen our team we are seeking an experienced, hands-on retail sales assistant in our reputable Garden Centre.

This role combines a passion for plants with solid retail sales skills to deliver exceptional customer service standards, assist in inventory management, and maintain high standards of plant health and visual merchandising. Reporting to our Garden Centre Manager you will be responsible for........

Key Responsibilities

- Plant Maintenance & Knowledge: Maintain the highest standards of plant health, including watering, pruning, potting, and pest/disease management.
- Customer Service & Sales: Offer expert advice to customers, drive sales and meet targets, and support promotions.
- Merchandising & Inventory: Maintain tidy,



well-stocked displays and support Manager with presentation of the garden centre
- Operational Support: Work with management team to ensure safety/compliance on site at all times.

Key Requirements

- Experience: Proven retail background in retail horticulture or garden maintenance.
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Horticulture (or similar) is highly preferred.
- Plant Knowledge: Sound knowledge of plant identification, care, pests, and diseases.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors and handle physical tasks.
- Team player - strong interpersonal and communication skills
