Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
Respond to mechanical breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
Repair, replace and maintain mechanical components and equipment.
Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
Perform mechanical inspections and identify potential failures before they occur.
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Work on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, drives and other mechanical equipment.
Carry out shaft, coupling and mechanical component repairs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Complete maintenance reports, job sheets and relevant documentation.
About you
A recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and rotating equipment.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Current driver's licence.
