Work Flexibility: Hybrid Marketing Manager - Trauma

We're particularly interested in candidates who have built their careers within medical devices, with experience in orthopaedics, trauma, sports medicine, or other surgical specialties. Candidates with a background in implant sales, product management, or strategic marketing within MedTech are especially encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of two marketers, creating a high-performance culture focused on growth, accountability, and results.
- Own the marketing strategy and execution for Stryker's Trauma portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.
- Partner closely with sales leadership and field teams to understand customer needs and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Develop and execute portfolio plans, market development initiatives, product launches, and customer engagement strategies.
- Analyse market trends, competitive activity, customer insights, and commercial performance to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with regional and global marketing partners to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
- Drive pricing, positioning, and value proposition strategies that strengthen market leadership.
- Lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and leadership teams.
- Manage marketing budgets and maximise return on investment across key initiatives.
- Ensure marketing activities drive measurable business outcomes and support the achievement of commercial objectives.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience within the medical device industry.
- Proven leadership experience, including building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with sales organisations to drive results.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans in a complex healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within orthopaedics, trauma, sports medicine, or a related surgical specialty.
- Previous success in implant sales, product management, downstream marketing, or strategic marketing roles.
- Deep understanding of the hospital and operating theatre environment.
- Experience launching products, driving portfolio growth, and influencing customer adoption.
- MBA or postgraduate marketing qualification is advantageous.

Work Flexibility
Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.
Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements.
Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.
Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
