The Department is committed to working with our staff and partners to deliver our vision for students and educators across Victoria.About the DivisionThe roles are situation with the Wellbeing and Engagement Branch, Student Wellbeing and Engagement Division in each Region within the Schools and Regional Services Group.About the Role:The Senior Regional Behaviour Analyst's (SRBA) holds a senior position in the region, supporting the implementation of key behaviour support programs and initiatives. Additionally, they play a role in leading and supporting service delivery and capability building for school and regional staff, focusing on strategic leadership. As part of their responsibilities, the SRBA provides supervision to selected school and regional staff who are pursuing Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA) accreditation with the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA). As per the ABAA guidelines, as a supervisor you will be a CBA, Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst - Doctoral (BCBA-D) in positive standing and must also meet ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) requirements to maintain registration and the ability to provide supervision. The role will also involve providing direct behavioural assessment and intervention for individual students. The direct work will involve coaching regional and school teams to use behavioural science to respond to students with behaviours of concern.



These positions are a core feature of the department's approach to multi-tiered intervention and will contribute to establishing capability of school and region-based staff to effectively and efficiently respond to the needs of students with behaviours of concern. Other duties in line with regional priorities may also be required.The duration of this role is from 14 December 2026 to 24 September 2027 to cover a period of leave.AttributesThe successful appointee will:Be confident and successful in working with a variety of stakeholders including school, Area and DivisionalLeadership, principals, teachers, support staff, students, families, and the local school community.Have the ability to translate strategies into programs or projects that enable the achievement of requiredOutcomes.Have completed the training that meets the requirements of ABAA Behaviour Analyst Supervision Standards,In order to provide supervision to those accruing experience hours towards their CBA certification.Qualifications and ExperienceEssential: Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (or similar approved course by the ABAA)Essential: Training in supervision as per the ABAA Behaviour Analyst Supervision Standards.Desirable: Doctorate degree in relevant fieldEssential : Accreditation from Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia as a CBA or the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board as a BCBAThe base office for this position can be any North West Regional office.
