We're seeking an Underground Electrician to join our high-performing maintenance team at Pajingo Mine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic underground mining environment where safety, teamwork, and operational excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

Working on a family-friendly 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of underground electrical infrastructure and equipment while contributing to a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement

About the Role

- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations on underground electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults across underground plant and infrastructure.
- Conduct breakdown response and preventative maintenance activities.
- Test and commission equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Complete maintenance documentation and associated paperwork.
- Support and supervise electrical contractors where required.
- Identify and report hazards while promoting protected work practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and operational performance.
- Participate in root cause investigations and problem-solving activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

- Previous experience working as an Underground Maintenance Electrician.
- High Voltage Switching qualification and experience.
- Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc underground drilling equipment.
- Fault-finding experience on SCADA, HMI, PLC and telemetry systems.
- Experience with leaky feeder communication systems.
- Exposure to SAP or other maintenance management systems.
- High Risk EWP and Forklift licences.
