Sharon AI is an Australian neocloud, delivering trusted AI infrastructure organisations need to build, train and run AI at scale. We support customers across the full AI lifecycle, from training through to inference and agentic AI, drawing on a strong ecosystem of technology and co-location partners to deliver capability where it's needed. As the first neocloud to join NVIDIA's AI Compute Program, we're growing quickly, scaling our AI Factory platform to meet rising demand for advanced compute.
The Role
As Sharon AI continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Change Manager to join our Service Operations team and play an important role in governing risk-tiered change management across our Kubernetes, infrastructure, platform and data centre environments, reporting to our Service Operations Manager.
In this role, the Change Manager will own the Service Change Request (SCR) process end to end, classifying changes into Standard, Normal, Major and Emergency tiers and chairing the Change Advisory Board (CAB) for Major and customer-impacting changes. You'll work closely with engineering, platform, network, security and customer-facing teams, with exposure to a highly automated, GitOps-driven engineering setting at the forefront of AI infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and administer Sharon AI's risk-tiered change management framework, classifying Service Change Requests (SCRs) into Standard, Normal, Major and Emergency tiers
- Chair the Change Advisory Board (CAB) for Major and customer-impacting changes, operating primarily through asynchronous review
- Assess the risk, impact and interdependencies of proposed changes with engineering, platform and data centre teams
- Maintain the master change calendar,
identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts to protect service availability
- Confirm Standard and Normal-tier changes are supported by automated pipeline gates, and Major changes by formal Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Integrated System Testing (IST)
- Own the customer maintenance notification process for planned, in-progress and completed changes
- Conduct post-implementation reviews for Major, Emergency or failed changes, driving corrective and preventative actions
- Maintain accurate change records and track change management metrics, reporting trends to leadership
- Drive continuous improvement of the change management framework and automation maturity
What We're Looking For
- 4-7 years' experience in an IT or infrastructure change management role, ideally within a cloud-native, Kubernetes-based, data centre or telecommunications environment
- Strong understanding of ITIL change management (change enablement) principles, including risk-tiered classification models
- Demonstrated experience chairing a CAB and managing change in a live production environment
- Sound risk assessment and judgement, weighing technical risk against business and customer impact
- Confidence working with software/platform engineers, Kubernetes and infrastructure teams, and executives
- Highly organised,
methodical and outcome-focused
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, GitOps and CI/CD-based delivery models
- Experience working with ITSM and change management tools such as Jira Service Management
Nice to have:
- Kubernetes or cloud-native certifications (for example, CKA)
