About the role

With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we are enriching health while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.

The Senior Communications Officer works within the People and Corporate Communication team. The team provides strategic communications advice and delivers system wide communications. A large part of the role is campaign management for workforce and recruitment campaigns. Reaching across all of NSW Health, the team forms part of the Strategic Communications and Engagement branch. We drive engagement, recognise achievements, and strategically communicate. We advise on workforce communications, ensuring staff support and attracting skilled individuals. Collaborating with the Ministry,



we communicate system-wide initiatives such as health strategies and plans. We navigate diverse projects, engaging stakeholders to bring communication strategies to life.

What you will be doing

- Build relationships with stakeholders in the Ministry and across the system
- Plan, refine and deliver communications campaigns to support strategies, and workforce initiatives
- Work with teams within Strategic Communications and Engagement to seek advice to develop and delivery communications campaigns

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

- The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly assess and understand communications needs and respond to requests with frank and concise advice
- The ability to work in a dynamic team environment, liaising with teams across Strategic Communications and Engagement (SCE)
