About the Organisation

This newly created position offers the chance to play a key role in strengthening payroll governance, compliance controls and audit outcomes within a large, respected organisation. Working closely with Payroll, HR and Finance, you will act as a trusted subject matter expert, helping ensure payroll operations remain compliant, efficient and audit ready. Make a genuine impact in a role focused on payroll integrity and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and assess payroll compliance across awards, enterprise agreements and legislation
- Conduct detailed payroll reviews to identify potential risks, discrepancies and control weaknesses

Coordinate payroll audit activities

- Assist in developing and strengthening governance frameworks and internal controls

Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders across Payroll, HR and Finance

- Support payroll system enhancements and process optimisation projects

About You:

Extensive payroll experience within complex payroll environments

- Solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements

A genuine interest in governance and compliance

- Excellent analytical and investigation skills

Ability to identify risks and opportunities for improvement

- Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities

Previous exposure to Audits, payroll remediation, audit reviews or compliance projects highly regarded

- Knowledge of iChris and/or UKG advantageous
- Full Australian working rights
