Business Development Manager | RTW and Injury Management

Sydney / Hybrid | Initial Contract | Paid Retainer + Uncapped Commission | Pathway to Permanent Leadership

This is an opportunity to leverage your return-to-work (RTW) industry experience to build and lead a recent division. You will be responsible for converting your industry knowledge, relationships, and commercial capability into contracted work, with a pathway to a permanent senior leadership position once the portfolio supports it.

Key responsibilities

Identify and secure new business opportunities within the RTW sector using your industry network and relationships

Develop and establish partnerships with employers, brokers, insurers, claims organisations, industry associations, WHS networks, and corporate health partners

Build and manage a contracted work portfolio that generates revenue

Lead the development of the RTW division as the portfolio grows





Transition into a permanent senior leadership role to lead the outsourced RTW division and build the RTWC and account management team

About you

Established experience in the workplace injury management and RTW industry

Deep understanding of the RTW market, opportunities, and key influencers

Existing network within employers, brokers, insurers, claims organisations, industry associations, WHS networks, or corporate health partners

Experience managing insurer or employer portfolios, leading injury management or RTW functions, or managing key accounts

Demonstrated capability in relationships, strategy, and leadership

Commercial acumen and ability to identify and secure new business

We are seeking someone with industry knowledge, relationships and commercial capability to help convert this into contracted work and build the RTW division.
