About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, you will play animportant role in supporting the delivery high-qualityinfrastructure projects across the City. You will assist in thedevelopment of concept, preliminary and detailed designs for roads,drainage, cycling infrastructure, car parks and traffic calmingprojects. The role involves preparing construction drawings usingAutoCAD and other design software, undertaking site investigationsand inspections, assisting with project feasibilityassessments.





Working alongside experienced engineering professionals, this isan excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills, gainexposure to a broad range of local government infrastructureprojects and build a rewarding career in engineering design.

What we’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solvingskills
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaborativelywithin a team workplace
- Experience using AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite,including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, includingAustralian Standards, Austroads Guides and Main Roads WA designstandards
- Completed or currently undertaking a tertiary qualificationin Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Qualification or formal training in AutoCAD and/or AutodeskCivil 3D
- Current WA Driver’s Licence and a current White Card (orwillingness to obtain)
