Employment Pathways & Operations Specialist

We're looking for a motivated and people-focused Employment Pathways & Operations Specialist to join our operational team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining field-based apprentice and trainee support with employer engagement and broader recruitment services. The position combines time in the field with two days per week in our Glenroy office and three days working from home (travel to client sites may form part of your work from home days). Regular travel throughout Greater Melbourne is required, with occasional intrastate and interstate travel on a pre-arranged as needs basis.

Key responsibilities

Building strong relationships with host employers and industry partners

Regularly visiting apprentices and trainees on site, providing mentoring, coaching and performance support

Monitoring training progress, wellbeing, workplace integration and WHS requirements

Coordinating apprenticeship and traineeship requirements with employers, RTOs and other stakeholders

Identifying new apprenticeship, traineeship and labour-hire opportunities with employers

Managing end-to-end recruitment, from advertising and screening through to interviewing, reference checking and onboarding

Matching candidates with employers and coordinating labour-hire placements

Supporting Sheforce's pre-employment programs and helping participants transition into employment

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Enjoy working in a fast-paced setting of regular change and varied challenges

The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Confidence working with employers, candidates, apprentices and trainees

An interest in the building and construction industry
