The Steps to Confident Parenting Program supports parents with cognitive or intellectual disability, impairment or learning challenges whose children may be at risk of entering out-of-home care. Working alongside parents and their care teams, you will provide practical, tailored coaching that builds on each family’s strengths and responds to individual learning needs. - $80,186 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + SalaryPackaging

What We’re Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Services, Human Services or a related discipline. (Please note: applicants must have completed all course requirements, or will do so before commencing this position or have completed their qualification within the last 24 months.)
- Demonstrated understanding of cognitive and/or intellectual impairment/disability or learning challenges, and their impacts on keeping children safe, healthy, and well cared for.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication methods to incorporate use of visual aids, role play, task list and repetition.




- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and to engage constructively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, organisation, reporting and setting priorities.
