This is a great opportunity to join a well-established firm with 3 offices in South East Qld and a National network. They operate in paperless workplace and use Xero as their practice software. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of clients across compliance, tax planning and advisory work; supporting the manager in advisory projects.
You will have key responsibilities which will include:
Preparing individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns
Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS
General bookkeeping and account reconciliations
Liaising with clients regarding compliance and advisory matters
Maintaining accurate records and following the firm’s systems and procedures
Any other undertaking as and when required
The ideal candidate will possess:
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an accounting / client-facing role in a public practice accounting firm.
Be experienced in preparing tax returns, BAS and financial statements
Be capable of completing work with a good degree of autonomy
Have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Be friendly, approachable and genuinely client focused
Communicate clearly and raise questions or concerns when needed
Understand the importance of following systems, procedures and timeframesDegree qualified desirable (business, commerce, accounting, finance etc)
CA, CPA, Masters of Tax etc. (highly favourable )
Tech savvy and highly competent in Xero/Xero Practice Management software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
