We’re looking for an experienced full-time Assistant Venue Manager to join the team and play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the venue.

About the Role

As Assistant Venue Manager, you’ll work closely with the Venue Manager to ensure Las Palmas operates at its best across every service. You’ll be a visible leader on the floor, setting the standard for service, supporting the team and making sure the guest experience is consistently exceptional.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being around people and knows what it takes to run a successful hospitality operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Venue Manager with the day-to-day operation of Las Palmas, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all areas of the venue.

- Lead, motivate and develop the team, creating a positive, accountable and high-performing culture.

- Be a hands-on presence during service, maintaining exceptional standards across food, beverage, service and guest experience.

- Assist with rostering, labour management and day-to-day team coordination.

- Support training and onboarding, ensuring team members understand service standards, venue procedures and expectations.

- Monitor venue presentation, cleanliness, compliance and operational standards.

- Handle guest feedback and enquiries professionally, resolving issues quickly and protecting the guest experience.

- Assist with stock management,



ordering, cost control and other commercial responsibilities.

- Work closely with the Venue Manager and broader management team on events, activations and initiatives that drive the venue forward.

- Support compliance with WHS, RSA, food safety and other relevant hospitality requirements.

About You

You’ll be an experienced hospitality professional who is confident leading a team and comfortable taking ownership during service. You’re organised, commercially aware and naturally proactive, with the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when things get busy.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience in an Assistant Venue Manager, Supervisor or senior hospitality leadership role, with a strong background in bartending and high-volume bar operations.

- Has a genuine passion for hospitality, service and creating memorable guest experiences;

- Leads from the front and isn't afraid to get stuck in when the venue is busy;

- Has strong communication and people-management skills;

- Understands the importance of commercial performance, labour and cost control;

- Has strong knowledge of hospitality compliance, including RSA and WHS requirements;

- Brings energy, initiative and a positive attitude to every shift.
