We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Vet Hospital Business Partner & Support to work from our Port Macquarie head office.

Position Summary:

The role plays a fundamental role in building the distribution and sales of our pet insurance by maintaining strong relationships with our existing vet hospital partners and getting new ones on board.

You will be contacting prospects by phone and email to bring new vet hospitals on board as partners, working with them (and our established partners) to advocate for Trupanion with pet owners as well as growing their confidence in the Trupanion brand broadly.

There are 2 key functions for this role:

Sales: Vet Channel Growth – Create, build and grow relationships with our partnered and non-partnered Veterinary Hospitals

Outbound calls and online meetings to both our existing vet hospital partners, and finding those vet hospitals who have not yet partnered with Trupanion.



You’ll work with the business leaders to ensure that everyone in the clinic understands that more insured pets are better for them and the animals they care for.

Change behaviours so that the clinic is happy to discuss pet insurance with their customers.

Give online presentations and training sessions to educate clinic staff on Trupanion’s offering. Support them on the journey to making discussions around pet insurance a habit so they can increase the number of insured pets.

Ongoing contact and monitoring of performance, working with those hospitals whose sales volumes are low and celebrating the wins with the others!

Manage inbound enquiries for claims and veterinary partner support. This role partners with our international customer service and sales teams to create a seamless Veterinary Hospital and Trupanion member experience. You will be responsible for taking inbound calls from our vet hospitals and making outbound calls and queries through chat and email for:

Providing assistance in understanding claims outcomes for Trupanion members, your local Trupanion Team and Vet Veterinary Hospitals

Assisting vet Veterinary Hospitals to get great outcomes with claims processes for GapOnly in a timely manner

Using the opportunity to turn enquiries into advocacy for our mission and purpose

Assisting local and international teams to collate and deal with claims escalations through internal and external complaints processes

Outbound calls for claim outcomes explanations to all stakeholders as required

Problem solve Veterinary Hospital issues

Train Veterinary Hospitals in Trupanion process

Key Responsibilities Include:

Build new and Veterinary Hospital partnerships for distribution and increases sales

Build rapport with Veterinary Hospitals, members and potential members through proactive and appropriate contact in various channels





Build and maintain positive partnerships where vet teams are confident and comfortable talking about pet insurance

Be able to explain how the claims processes works, and how our product is different to others

Educate and clearly explain claims outcomes and reasoning to all stakeholders internally and externally

Close and achieve monthly and quarterly goals

Report results on a regular basis

Closely support management in their strategic goals and perform duties as asked from time to time outside of key responsibilities

Experience:

Experience in the veterinary industry would be a plus but not a mandatory requirement.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, to include fluency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint with preferred exposure to OneNote, OneDrive , HubSpot and SharePoint.
